UPPSC PCS 2018 Mains result declared:
Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission declared the result of PCS 2018 Main Examination on Tuesday. There are 988 posts in PCS 2018, out of which four posts are not for the interview. Selection for these posts is to be done on the basis of written examination, so leaving these, 2669 candidates for 984 posts have been successful for the interview. Commission Secretary Jagdish said that there will be
no interview for one post of Executive Officer Category-1 / Assistant Municipal
Commissioner in PCS 2018 and three posts of City Development Officer, as the
provision of interview for these posts has been abolished. Selection for these
posts is to be done on the basis of written examination but the result of this
will be declared after the interview along with the final result of this
recruitment.
The marks of the candidates included in the main
examination, cutoff marks etc. will be given after the final result of the
recruitment is announced. Outside Uttar Pradesh, the women candidates who were
successful through a release issued on October 5, 2019, the result will be
subject to the final decision passed in Special Appeal No. 475/2019 filed by
the Government of Uttar Pradesh.
Let us know that the preliminary examination of PCS
and ACF / RFO was conducted on 28 October 2018. This was the first time that
the preliminary examination of ACF / RFO with PCS was also conducted. For this
reason, the Commission had to conduct this examination at 1381 centers in 29
districts. Out of 635844 candidates applying for this, 398630 appeared in the
examination.
The result of preliminary examination was declared
on 30 March 2019. 19096 candidates for 988 posts were declared successful for
the main examination. On October 5, 2019, on the order of the High Court, the
Commission revised the result of PCS 2018 Pre, 160 women candidates from
outside Uttar Pradesh were successful for the main examination. The main
examination was held in Prayagraj and Lucknow from 18 to 22 October 2019, in
which 16738 candidates appeared. Of these, 2669 have been successful for the
interview.
