Preparation tips for SBI Probationary Officer Exam 2024

Understand the exam pattern and syllabus:

Start your preparation only after fully understanding the exam pattern and syllabus. This is most important for any exam, as it will let you know about the topics and division of marks in each section.

Create a strategy:

We can assume that the prelims exam is held in October and Mains in November, therefore the candidates are advised to take the prelims and mains together, and prepare accordingly. Because Quant, Reasoning and English are common in both Prelims and Mains exam, but GA and descriptive test is an added feature in Mains exam. Therefore, read Daily Current Affairs for 20-25 minutes and give 1-2 hours to each section on daily basis. Apart from this, you can start writing Essay, because you will not have time to prepare for the descriptive test after the prelims exam. Therefore, you should take a comprehensive target, in which the preparation of mains along with all the sections of prelims is going on simultaneously.

Previous Year Paper:

Do check the previous year's paper, and also see which topics are getting the most and most frequent questions. Also, find scoring areas. Try to solve the previous year's papers, because they are just like the upcoming exam. To see the trend of the exam, you can also check the papers of other exams, such as IBPS PO, etc.

Practice :

Start your practice. Solve the questions of all important topics according to the previous year's paper and trends. You have time and you can do anything. There is no exercise option and it will only increase your skills with speed.

Mock test:

Once you practice with important topics, start giving mock tests. There should be mock test with its analysis. Do the analysis after the mock, you will also get to know about your preparation. When there are only a few days left for the exam to begin, you should not give more mock tests, rather you should pay more attention to the analysis of the mock tests you have given earlier. Through their analysis, you try to know your weaknesses and try to overcome them. If you feel difficulty in an important topic, then try to overcome it with the help of Video Tutorials.

Revision:

Revise what you are learning from time to time, so that you do not forget the new things as well as the old things you have read.
